Salignac Of. 3 étoiles (Grande Fine Cognac) (no reserve)
The wine
A Salignac three star cognac from the 1970s imported to Italy by Carpano, Turin. The three star label means the cognac has been aged in oak casks for at least two years. Grande Fine Cognac is an appellation equivalent to Grande Champagne and means the grapes used in this cognac are from Grande Champagne.
About the Producer Salignac
The Salignac cognac house was founded in 1763 by Antoine de Salignac. This makes it a very old producer for which it is still possible to find cognacs produced in the 19th century, such as the 1865. The house produces very high-quality cognac that is still popular among enthusiasts. Salignac now belongs to Courvoisier (Beam), which positions the brand as an entry-level cognac suitable for use in cocktails. The brand is popular in many countries, especially in the United States. Unusually, it blends its cognacs before ageing.
