Chablis Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin (Domaine) (no reserve) 2010
The wine
Chablis Village is élevaged in vats to preserve its fresh fruitiness. For these reasons, this is preferably a wine for drinking young, or after two to three years' cellaring. It can be paired with a wide range of seafood dishes.
About the Producer Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin
Domaine Jean-Paul and Benoît Droin is owned by one of the oldest families in Chablis, who have been working the vines for nearly five centuries. In 1547, Jehan Droin was already cultivating an enclosed vineyard. Today, the domaine is managed by Jean-Paul Droin and his son Benoît; it covers 25.5 hectares, including 5 grand crus and 8 premier crus. It has risen to the top of Chablis, offering precise, generous wines with a fine mineral persistence.
