About the producer

Château d'Aydie is located in the heart of the sunny wine region of Madiran, which has belonged to the Laplace family for generations. Today, four siblings manage the domain's 55 hectares on which the mythic grape Tannat grows. The domain's philosophy includes low intervention viticulture and meticulous vinifications. Their wines are sought after for their fluidity and elegant, lingering finish.

About the wine

This Madiran is from a clay-chalk terroir and was vinified in barrels and oak foudres for 12-15 months. It has an intense, red colour with lovely notes of black fruits and coffee. The meaty palate develops beautiful, woody aromas with a pleasant tannic structure.
