Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Gros Frère & Soeur 2012
The wine
Depending on vintage, Hautes-Côtes de Nuits produces aromas ranging from black berries and spicy nuances to notes of red fruit (raspberry, redcurrant) in cool years. The same aromas are also found in the mouth, accompanied by tannins which are fairly firm in their youth.
About the Producer Gros Frère & Soeur
From one of the oldest families of wine growers in Burgundy, Bernard Gros is today at the head of Domaine Gros Frère et Soeur, which has a total of 21 hectares and an absolutely exceptional grand cru heritage: Richebourg, Clos de Vougeot, Grands Echezeaux and Echezeaux. The 36.62 acre vineyard of Grands-échezeaux runs along Clos de Vougeot. Domaine Gros Frère & Soeur is located in Vosne Romanée. A dozen years ago, Bernard Gros replanted the vines to improve the quality. His wines are regularly hailed by critics.
