Côte Roannaise Chez Muron Domaine Sérol 2021
About the Producer Sérol (Domaine)
Domaine Sérol is a family winery managed by Stéphane Sérol and his wife Carine. They took over the estate in 1996 and both have worked hard to clear the land to replant it with vines. Their terroirs are lie at an estimated altitude of between 100 and 500 metres in the eastern foothills of the Massif Central. Gamay Saint-Romain, the emblematic grape variety of the region, Chenin and Viognier are cultivated by a dozen people according to biodynamic principles and they flourish on the 27 hectares of granite soil. In the vineyard, yields are controlled and reduced in order to gain in complexity and maturity. The grapes are harvested by hand and the wine is made as natural as possible. The modern cellar allows for plot-by-plot vinification, which allows the grapes to express their individual identities and that of their terroir that come under the Côte Roannaise classification.
