Vacqueyras La Bouïssière 2021

The wine

Made of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre grown on the alluvial terraces of the Ouvèze, this Vacqueyras stands out thanks to the depth of its hue which exudes an intense bouquet made of notes of ripe red fruit and prune. Both delicate and refined, it has heaps of character and lingers well on the palate. You will appreciate it both with sauce-based meat dishes and with flavoursome meat.

About the Producer La Bouïssière

Sixty years ago Antonin Faravel planted his first vineyards in the lieu-dit La Grande Bouïssière, set against the spectacular cliffs of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The property is still owned by the same family and now run by Antonin's children. It is one of the few domains to craft wines in the three iconic Southern Rhône Valley districts of Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Beaumes-de-Venise. Brothers Thierry and Gilles are well aware of how fortunate they are to own such terroir and follow the principles of organic farming. During their 25 years in the trade, they have developed their winemaking techniques, striving for flavour, freshness and tension. The wines they produce today have improved in elegance and character, and as an outcome their reputation is growing.
