About the Producer Château Croque Michotte
Located on the edge of the Pomerol appellation near Château Gazin, Château Croque Michotte's vineyard is planted in the gravelly part of Saint Emilion. The chateau has belonged to the same family for more than a century. Samuel Geoffrion, great-grandfather of the current owners, acquired the château in 1906. The vineyard covers 14 hectares, planted with 74% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon, with vines of 50 years old on average. The vineyard is grown in organic (certified). After 12 months of barrel ageing, then further ageing in vats, this moderately full-bodied wine should be drunk within 5 to 10 years of the vintage. Good value for money!
