Maranges 1er Cru La Fussière Domaine Bernard Bachelet et Fils 1999
The wine
The village of Maranges forms a link between the Côte d'Or and Saône et Loire. This Maranges from Vincent Bachelet is beautifully concentrated, rounded in style and has raspberry and berry aromas. The tannins are silky and smooth. This creamy and well-structured wine can be aged for a good ten years.
About the Producer Bernard Bachet et Fils
For four generations, the Bachelet family has produced very fine wines on a number of Burgundy appellations, over a total of 14 hectares of vines. In particular, Vincent Bachelet has superb plots in Maranges. He is one of the best representatives of an unfairly underestimated appellation.
