Volnay 1er Cru Clos du Château des Ducs Lafarge (Domaine) 2002
The wine
Domaine Lafarge is a 12-hectare family estate in Volnay, which dates back to the 18th century; each generation since has been devoted to its bourgeoning success. In 1949, Michel joined forces with his father to cultivate the domain and his own son, Frédéric, joined him respectively in 1978. Since 1997, he has steered the domain towards biodynamics and since 2000, the whole estate is cultivated according to organic methods.
Volnay Clos du Château des Ducs opens with a floral bouquet (peony, violet), offering long-lasting fruit in the mouth – especial notes of cherry, redcurrant and raspberry. A wine with elegant, lingering expressiveness.
About the Producer Lafarge
