Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine Pueri Solis Luneau-Papin 2009
The wine
The old vines of this single parcel cuvée are found on schist terroir near to the village of Landreau. As is tradition for Muscadet’s fine wines, Pueri Solis is matured for 32 months on lees before being put on the market. This unique wine demonstrates the great possibilities of the local grape variety, Melon de Bourgogne. You’ll find a lovely salinity alongside candied and exotic fruits.
About the Producer Luneau Papin
Domaine Luneau-Papin, lies in the Muscadet region, 20 km from Nantes, in the south of the Loire. The property extends over 40 hectares and is managed by Pierre and Monique Luneau who were joined by their son Pierre-Marie in 2005, representing the ninth generation of winemakers. Every parcel here is harvested by hand and vinified and matured individually to allow each terroir to express itself. The vineyards are planted exclusively with Melon de Bougogne. Today, the domain is so successful that more than half of its wines are exported overseas.
