Alsace Pinot Noir Bollenberg Valentin Zusslin (Domaine) 2010
The wine
This domain is renowned for its well-structured Pinot Noirs with great cellaring potential and this cuvée is a case in point, meriting its accolade in the RVF guide as one of the “most exciting wines in Alsace”! Intensely fruity on the nose, it is at once crunchy and silken in the mouth with slightly toasted notes on the palate thanks to its vinification and maturation in oak barrels with very finely grained tannins on the finish. Delicious alongside a decandent black forest gateau.
