Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume Domaine Corinne et Jean-Pierre Grossot 2007
The wine
Fourchaume Premier Cru is the colour of old gold. Its nose suggests aromas of white flowers and citrus with some subtle hints of exotic fruit. The palate is fresh, creamy and fruity with a nicely persistent mineral finish.
About the Producer Corinne et Jean-Pierre Grossot
Domaine Grossot, located in Fleys in Chablisien, was created in the 1920s by the grandparents of Jean-Pierre Grossot, the current owner who runs the family property with his wife Corinne and their daughter Eve. The 18 hectare vineyard has five grand crus: Vaucoupin, Mont de Milieu, Côte de Tromes, Fourchaume and Fourneaux. The wines are all remarkable in quality, with great finesse and fine acidity, faithful to their terroir.
