Intensity

An excellent white Bandol with incredible freshness, acquiring complex aromas and a moreish, unctuous texture over time. More info

An excellent white Bandol for drinking as an aperitif, particularly good alongside hard goats cheese. Aromas of white flowers and citrus open on the nose, mellowing into the end-notes of beeswax and honey. On the palate it is full-bodied without being heavy and although there is minimal acidity, the fine mineral finish gives incredible freshness. It is a blend of Clairette, Ugni Blanc and Rolle whose vines grow on loamy clay-limestone soil. Yields are limited and the fruit is harvested by hand prior to direct pressing, 12 day fermentation and a 6 month vat fermentation.

About the Producer La Tour du Bon

La Tour du Bon owes its name to the watchtower which once stood on the highest point of this domaine, protecting the village from approaching danger. The first vineyards were planted here in 1955 and the Hoquard family acquired the property in 1968, carrying out major works on the vineyard before their daughter Agnès took to the helm in 1990. Agnès still runs the domaine today, which continues to improve year on year. The vineyard has been certififed organic since 2014 and their wines have distinct personality and harmony, with excellent cellaring potential.
